The Gran Hotel Ibiza is a luxurious five-star hotel located near Ibiza Town, perfectly nestled between the vibrant city life and the island's stunning beaches. Its central location makes it an ideal base for those looking to fully enjoy everything Ibiza has to offer.
An Excellent Location for Nightlife and Exploration
For night owls, the location is particularly convenient, as the famous Pacha, one of the island's most legendary nightclubs, is within walking distance. Pacha has not only shaped Ibiza's club scene but also played a significant role in the global rise of David Guetta, who launched his famous party series "F*** Me I'M FAMOUS" here, attracting international stars and music lovers.
A Welcome That Promises Holiday Bliss
Upon arrival at the hotel, you immediately feel the special atmosphere, enhanced by the warm welcome and the pleasant hotel scent in the entrance area, which instantly gives you that holiday feeling. The reception and concierge services are always attentive and helpful.
Simple Elegance and Comfort in Harmony
The rooms are not only impeccably clean and well-equipped, with some even featuring whirlpools on the balcony, offering pure luxury to guests. The excellent soundproofing and air conditioning of the rooms are particularly noteworthy, ensuring a restful sleep—which is especially important in Ibiza, where you often get to bed at dawn. While it’s possible to occasionally hear your neighbors on their balconies, it's a minor issue that's easy to overlook.
The hotel boasts an excellent bar with a wide selection of great drinks.
Relaxation and Fitness at the Gran Hotel Ibiza
It also offers a modern fitness room and an impressive wellness area, which unfortunately I didn't have time to use.
Pool Area: A Matter of Taste in Design and Space
The outdoor pool area is beautifully designed, with a special section for adults. However, I personally don’t use the pool area often, as the dark surface of the pool deck absorbs too much heat on hot days, making it uncomfortable for me to lounge there. Additionally, the loungers are placed quite close together, which might not appeal to everyone. That said, this is a matter of personal preference, and the adult section is more spacious.
An Exceptional Breakfast Experience
A definite highlight is the breakfast at the Gran Hotel Ibiza—truly the best breakfast experience I've ever had. The variety of dishes, the fresh preparation, and the beautiful atmosphere in the courtyard make this breakfast a must, even for guests not staying at the hotel. The price of €75 per person for non-guests is absolutely justified, considering the quality and ambiance provided.
A big compliment to the entire hotel team, who put a lot of effort into looking after their guests and always have a smile on their faces. The hotel also has several restaurants, of which I visited Zuma and Cipriani. About the Zuma I will report on this in another article. The Casino de Ibiza is also located directly in the hotel. Thanks to its proximity to the ferries, it is also an ideal starting point for travelling to Formentera.
I will definitely be returning and can highly recommend the Gran Hotel Ibiza.
