Sometimes, a single glance is enough to sense that a place has a special charm. That’s exactly how I felt while strolling along the waterfront promenade in Cascais when my eyes caught sight of a beautiful sun terrace. I immediately knew: I have to eat here! Without hesitation, I made a reservation for the evening – and it turned out to be a fantastic decision.

The Corleone Ristorante al Mare is located on the first floor of the Villa Cascais boutique hotel, a historic building overlooking the bay.
Before I entered the restaurant, a special detail immediately caught my eye: the staircase shimmered in a noble gold colour and gave the entrance area an elegant touch - a first impression that was immediately inviting.
This stylish ambiance continued inside: deep blue walls combined with a ceiling adorned with lemon motifs – a Mediterranean mix that instantly evoked a vacation mood. Beautifully set tables and a warm welcome created an atmosphere that made me feel like I had arrived at exactly the right restaurant.
The attention to detail in the decor is remarkable: stunning artwork on the walls, warm colors, and elegant chandeliers add a special touch to the space. The combination of Italian charm and the relaxed elegance of a seaside restaurant makes this place truly unique.
An Aperitif at the Stylish Bar
Before heading to the table, it’s worth enjoying an aperitif at the stylish bar. It’s the perfect way to settle in, take in the atmosphere, and soak up the elegant surroundings.
Indoor or Terrace? Both Are a Delight!
The restaurant offers both cozy indoor seating and a breathtaking terrace with a direct view of the sea. For the evening, I opted for a table inside – even though the terrace was equipped with transparent protective screens and heaters, making it weatherproof and comfortably warm if needed.
Excellent Food & Perfect Service
And then came the food – simply outstanding! No matter what you choose, the kitchen delivers on all fronts. Fresh ingredients, authentic Italian flavors, and beautiful presentation – a combination that completely won me over.
I also want to highlight the exceptional service – especially the owner himself, who was not only present but actively involved in serving guests. His warm and attentive manner immediately stood out in the best way. But it wasn’t just him – the entire team was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the evening even more enjoyable.
A Lunchtime Full of Delight on the Sun Terrace
After such a wonderful evening, I already knew: I would be back! Two days later, I returned for lunch – this time on the stunning sun terrace. Sitting there, enjoying a drink, watching the lively atmosphere of Cascais and the waterfront promenade was simply perfect.
My Conclusion: A Must-Visit in Cascais
If you find yourself in Cascais, a visit to Corleone Ristorante al Mare is an absolute must. The combination of Italian cuisine, exceptional food, and a breathtaking location made it a highlight of my stay.
I will definitely return! Not just for the restaurant, but because the entire area has truly enchanted me.
